Mapendo International at the White House
On June 20th, the White House commemorated World Refugee Day and invited Rose Mapendo to speak. The First Lady gave welcoming remarks and introduced Mapendo International and Rose, saying, “Today, she's an American citizen and the spokesperson for 'Mapendo International,' a non-governmental organization that assists refugees.” View the video of the event here (Real Player required).
